Default 2011 Ranger 4x4

Hey,
New to this site and I am looking for as much info as I can get on lifting my son's 2011 Ranger 4x4. I want a suspension lift about 2"-2-1/2".
I don't want to ruin the ride or handling but would love to run 32"-35" tires. Any responses would be appreciated.

Welcome to FRF!

Lift options for the 4wd Rangers are pretty limited.

You can adjust the torsion bars for 1-2” of lift. You can also do the “pre key mod”. This involves swapping you torsion keys for ones from a pre 2008 ranger, as they sat 1” taller. With pre-08 keys and a slight torsion bar crank, you can fit 32” tires without any issues. However, you are gonna notice a stiffer ride from adjusting the tbars. How much rougher depends on how much you adjust them.

You can do a 3” body lift. This is the next cheapest options, and runs ~200 bucks plus instal. You can clear 33” tires with a bodylift, however you might need to adjust the torsion bars as well, depending on your wheel and tire choice

The last option is the 4” superlift. This is by far the most expensive option. It will allow you to run 33” tires without a problem.

To clear 35” tires comfortably, you’ll need to do the superlift and a body lift. You’ll also need to regear the differentials for 35s. 35s are a lot of tire for a ranger.
