Red face Hello from Tampico, I'll...birthplace of Ronald Reagan.

Hello, I've read many threads from here and finally decided to join! Currently have an 01 ranger 3.0 flex supercab 2whl that is giving me fits. I got it for a mere $500 and have put about 85k of its 220k in the last year! Been a great truck, till it started giving me trouble about a month ago. Has an issue intermittently that when driving it won't go above 35 mph. Has codes 0453, 0171 & 0174 and occasionally cylinder 3 misfire. (First time with code reader in truck when it happened) All those point to a vac leak but cannot find it. I've done the carb cleaner everywhere I can think of but to no solution. The fuel level gauge is out of it as well as of about 9 months ago or so...I fill up every 250 miles with E85. Any ideas? Common trouble spots? Thanks for the add and help in the past/future.

I think I can only help with the fog lights. I traced mine back to a bad relay under the hood; I used my owners manual to identify it.

Hello again friend! Remember when I said that relay fixed that fog light issue!? Well just yesterday my actual fog light switch on the radio bezel died. I was hoping it was just a poor contact but I wasn't able to remedy it with just a cleaning. Luckily they are pretty cheap. I didn't do a continuity test to be sure; if you have a multimeter handy I'd recommend it though. The bezel was very easy to remove

I don't have an actual switch (that I've found) swapped out relays under the hood and Nada...thank for the info though. The other issues were due to a cracked vacc line 2" inside a "wire loom"! Omfg!
