Default Hi everybody!

Hey ranger fam! I'm Dan, or PluckinDaisies, and I'm brand new to the forum and a few months into ranger ownership. What a joy =) .. back to the boring stuff. I'm 28; I work for my local branch of the franchise Mosquito Authority in Rehoboth Beach DE as a field supervisor. If you ever want to consult me about mosquito control please feel free. Now this is where it gets fun; corperate wants us in full-size trucks by 2018 season so I was able to score my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L w/ offroad pack very cheap.

So on to the truck; it's an above mentioned ranger that really has no issues but a free-thinking tachometer and my obd-2 port was dead. A quick look thru the owners manual led me to a missing fuse and it was that simple. I took the truck to my local beach to test the 4x4; all was well but the saltwater was anything but kind. I killed my voltage regulator. The truck oddly enough would charge at idle albeit barely; and anything above 1100rpm would drop to 12.6V. I replaced the alternator and all is well. My plans for the truck are a camper setup in the back with an aux deep cycle battery for basics. A rough country leveling kit, and 33x10.50r15 with necessary trimming. So far only my camper cap and aux battery setup have come to fruition but I'm considerably busier this off-season than expected. But ranger forum; thanks so much. With your help I was able to diagnose the IAT sensor as the reason my truck only fires after a few ignition cycles and a quick pedal floor. Can't thank you enough and I'm glad to join you!

Thanks man! I scored the cap for 50$ delivered so I couldn't pass it up. I was torn at first but it has since grown on me. I just ordered my dual-sense VSR battery isolator so this camper setup should be coming to fruition this year; look forward to seeing you on the future write up! Thanks again for the kind words
