Cool Hello from the British Virgin Islands!🏝

Hello!
My name is Bobo and I live in the beautiful BVI on a little island called Tortola. I recently purchased a 2011 ford ranger sport 4x4. Due to our mountainous terrain and not so perfect roads I am looking to get bigger offroad tires, a 3" lift and upgrade the shocks. I have been doing some research on body lift compared to a traditional lift and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the matter? Also any recommendations on brands?
I look forward to and appreciate any info!

Cheers🍻

Aloha and welcome! As far as lift, it all depends on how much you want to spend. For the most part you have two main options. PA 3" body lift or the Superlift suspension couple hundred or a little under couple thousand...minus wheels and tires. you can also then convert the super lift to coilovers for even more money....haha. I have the discontinued RCD lift and I love it.

Nice rig Castleguard! Thanks for the reply!
I have been looking into a few ways to lift the truck. I live on an island with a lot of dirt roads and potholes. I want to make the truck ride smoother and not bottom out when offroad. The last thing want to loose is ride quality so the torsion key method is out. I was thinking i would do a 2-3" body lift on the front and upgrade the shocks. Then on the rear do the leaf springs and shocks. So with bigger tires I should get around 3-4" of lift out it.
Any recommendations on brands to look into?

Thanks!

I have Bilstein's on mine. They are very smooth and handle rough terrain well. I really like them. I know some guys run Fox and like them as well. Better shocks and not maxing the torsion bars will be worth it for the ride quality.
