Confession, I do not own a Ranger! Not yet that is. I’ve come to the conclusion I need a pick up when I found myself trying to fit 2 sheets of drywall into the back of my Subaru Outback. Not a pretty site nor was the language🤭. So I’m starting my search for a DIY, lumber hauler. I enjoy working on cars and have a few projects going ( too many according to my wife😬
. So what better place to go than here to get some insight into what to look for and support after. I’m from Wisconsin and rust is a real concern. I have an AWD car ( full of drywall pieces ) so I’m not looking at 4x4s. I’d like something pre 96 so I can avoid the annual emmisions test. I’ve heard good things about the dependability of the 2.3 and MPG. Not saying anything about the ther engines just looking for best MPG. Or isn’t there a big difference. Are the rust concerns real and should I not bother even looking around here for a used one from the West/south? Sorry Kind of dragged this out but it’s a start.
Anyhow I’m looking forward to being a member of the site
Tom
