Red face Grinding after first start... Please dont be a spun bearing!!!

Hey guys, joined a while ago, been using this site ever since. I finally have a reason to make my first post, i have a 96 ranger, 3.0, auto thats making a nice grinding noise. It goes away if i play with the throttle a bit, but comes back from time to time, seems to be coming from rear of engine, or front of trans. This truck just got new main and rod bearings, and started doing this abour 5 minutes after first start... Looking for any light...

Welcome! You may get more responses if you repost in the appropriate forum.

Have you checked to be sure all the bell housing bolts are tight? Torque converter bolts?
Bell housing properly aligned on block? Starter tight? Look at flex plate for fresh wear marks. Were the bearings properly lubed during installation? You have oil pressure? Worse case... Bearing spun.

I have checked the bolts, everything looks to be seated, flexplate looks ok (as far as i can see) The bearings were installed with lucas assembly lube, oil pressure is great, i did however check the transmission oil and found "pepto bismol" the radiator leaked into the transmission... Anyone think i can just flush, and fill? ... If not i may just rebuild the transmission as i am thinking thats where the noise would be coming from... Ill post this in the tech forum as well, thanks for the advice!
