Hi Everybody, on a whim, I bought a 2003 Ranger to take up some of the daily driving duties. I currently own a 2016 Ram 3500 dually and wanted something easier to park, cheaper to maintain, etc. Basically just an around town bomber.

The 2003 Ranger that I picked up is exactly what I was looking for. Base model, 4 cyl, 5 speed, 2wd. No frills - not even air conditioning. It has 225,000 miles, is rust free, lacks any major body damage, seems mechanically tight and drove very well.

It'll need brakes and shocks soon but those are easy enough.

Given that I didn't do any research before I bought, what are some of the major issues that Rangers have that may be coming my way? With this truck hardly being anything more than a seat and an engine, I can't imagine there are too many things to worry about.
