Default Finally Posting An Intro...

I just realized that I never posted anything here, so better late than never!

I picked up my '04 Ranger in June of 2008, so it just turned 1 year old (to me) a few days ago. I had been determined to get a Ranger for a long time, but it took me over 2 years to find the perfect deal. In 2005, I almost bought a brand new 2004, but walked out of the dealership because they still wanted too much money. I thought they'd be anxious to dump off the trucks that were one model year old, but it was hardly any less than buying an '05. So I waited and searched a LONG time, and finally found her. For $13K, I got this beauty. It only had 14,000 miles on it and it's almost completely flawless! I have a Certified Pre-Owned bumper to bumper warranty to go with it - there's still a year left on it. I was told by the salesman that it was owned by an old retired guy (always a good thing) and I believe it because of the super low miles and near flawless condition. There's no sign of it being driven in Michigan winters (no rust) or on the highway (no paint/windshield chips). The ONLY "flaws" it has are a tiny scratch in the passenger side door, which has been touched up to be almost invisible, and a few scratches on the passenger side inside door handle (wifes ring?). Other than that, it looks exactly the way a brand new, never driven truck would look. My mods have been cosmetic so far because of the warranty, but when the warranty is up the real fun will begin! Here's some pics, the first ones are the most recent ones since I did the side view mirror swap and added the window visors.

A few older ones....

Very nice and clean man! For mods...check the Magnusson-Moss act. Mods cannot void warranty unless proved to be the cause of warranty work needed.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I really appreciate it. Don't let it's good looks fool you though. I don't have any real wheeling pics yet, but I take it offroad any and every chance I get. As you can see, I love taking care of it, but I love playing in the dirt just as much! In other words, I'm not a "poser" LOL.

Justin, I'm going to look into this Magnusson-Moss act. I had been leery of doing any serious mods since I figured the dealer would use any excuse they could to BS their way out of warranty work. I only have to pay a $100 deductible for any warranty repairs, but you know they'd try to get out of it any chance they get. I was thinking about that as I was doing the wiring for my mirrors. I was thinking if I had any type of electrical problems they'd try to blame it on me for swapping the mirrors LOL....
