Default Just starting with Rangers

Son just bought a 2007 2wd Ranger, we have used the forum extensively for minor repair and the the forum has been a great help, Thank you guys for the info. Now however I may have to have my own Ranger to enjoy. So here,s the question, what years and models had the manual transmission and manual transfer case shifters, would like to find one to rebuild from the ground up, thanks again.

Search is over, found a 2009, Fx4, auto, with 72000 kilometers on it that was in good shape so bought it, so far have changed all the oils in driveline and added new tires, after looking at the engine and seeing it is very different from the 3 liter was wondering what the process to change a cam synchro on it and if it is as easy as the 3 liter, trying to find a procedure for the change has not come up with anything helpful yet, anyone have a procedure, thanks.
