Retired, 72, worked 29 years for Mosler Inc. until it went belly up 2001, 9 years with ADT untill I retired in 2010. Drove Rangers as company vehicals for about 500,00 miles while with Mosler Inc. I loved the little buggers. April 2017 I found a 193K mileage, 1998 XLT SuperCab with suicide doors for sale and bought it for a reasonable price. Got it home and looked at the front suspension and decided to rebuild it before the wheels fell off while I was driving it down the road.
I am amazed at what you can learn on YouTube. I had never touched a front suspension in my life, but I have rebuilt the drivers side with almost new everything and am now working on the passenger side. I did not bite off more than I could chew, but I have had a hard time swallowing at times.
I plan on using the Ranger for puttering around Oklahoma City for the wifes projects and maybe doing a little business on the side just to keep busy.
