Hey there! My name's Dylan. I'm 18 years old, which I'll just apologize for now. I'm a delivery driver and a long time Ranger enthusiast, especially since picking up my first Ranger about 2 years ago.
I know, it wasn't pretty.
It's a 1995 XLT with the good ole 4.0L OHV V6. 5 speed (Thank god.) 4x2 with an limited slip 8.8 with 3.55 gears. Green exterior, green interior. Aftermarket sunroof put in by Ziebart in 1997 (The original receipt was in the truck when I got it.)
I got the truck as a present for my 17th birthday. It was $800.
Since then my stepdad and I (He's an impressive fabricator) have been putting a lot of very much needed TLC in it. We're on a tight budget, but I've gotten exceptionally lucky at the junkyard.
This is one of the most recent pictures I have of it, but it's not quite up to date.
Mods (At least the ones I can remember) are as follows:
-Dual shocks with custom mounts
-Custom long travel radius arms
-"Cold air" intake, $50 on ProTuningLab, highly recommend
-15" Cragar Keystones, Free for doing a brake job
-31" Goodyear Duratracs, NOT even close to free
-Custom bumper made almost entirely from scrap and welded together with car batteries. It has a brush guard, tow hooks, and fog lights
-Custom stainless steel skid-plate
-Ford Racing bed-liner, $30 from the junkyard
-Tri-fold bed cover, free from the garbage
-Projector style headlights
-Explorer power leather seats (yes green ones), $70 from the junkyard
-Double din Kenwood head unit, $150ish from Best Buy if I remember correctly, I paid for it mostly in gift cards lol
-Leather wrapped steering wheel, $10 from the junkyard
-Hurst short shifter, $20 from the junkyard, if you can believe that
-Some other goodies that I'm probably forgetting.
So yeah, that pretty much sums up my truck. I've got a lot more in mind for the future but money is always a limiting factor lol.
I don't think I've ever been part of a forum before but I've lurked on this one for a while. Figured I'd get along well with people who love Rangers as much as I do, feel free to share constructive criticism and/or Ideas, I'd very much value both.
