Hello!
I am newish to the forum, have been on for a while but never posted until now. The wife and I are getting ready for a road trip from Seattle - St. Louis - New Orleans - Taos then back to Seattle! Whew... quite ]the drive! Now my little Smitty is a 2.3l 2002 xl with pretty basic stuff on it. I have new shocks and this year is the exhaust, clutch, and timing chain??? Depends on what it looks like once I start crackin bolts. We are doing the trip in 2018 so I have 1 year to finish up the project! I'll post some pictures so y'all can see what I am working with. Plus a lot more to come!

Yeah the tall cap does put on some drag.... I went from 26mpg to 22-24 depending on how fast I drive. I would like to enlist the help of my brother who is a metal fabricator to build some kind of airfoil/diffuser out of some sheet metal on the front. What do you think about that idea?
