Default Greetings From Minnesota!

Nice to meet everyone!
The old Chevy I inherited from my dad was finally ready for the crusher, and I figured it was time to go looking for a new-to-me work-mobile. Now, I've always really liked them late-model XLT Edge 4X4 Rangers. And, now, I finally got me one! In red, no less!
I'm looking forward to sharing in the forum.

Welcome! I got a red one too in Minnesota, FX4. Best thing I did for my Ranger was to buy the Ford shop manual.

Bad news: the pic you posted is NOT an Edge. Edge's had color matched bumpers, the Ranger Emblem on the side did not have "XLT" on it.
You have an XLT.
But welcome to the site!

Good Gawd that states COLD !

Negative -60 to -90 degrees... I've seen in the same 6 months how a hot summer day was 91* and then 6 mos later it was -86* almost a swing of 200*.. lol crazy

Welcome to the site, let us know if we can send you a pail of sunshine or something too

I will take 60 below any day over that nasty ass hot summer weather. Not to mention 120 in Las Vegas! GOOD GOD MAN, that's just not right. 90 degrees in the summer here is friggen brutal, I hate it... I am thinking about moving further north.

120* In Detroit when I lived there would be brutal due to the humidity.. but here in Vegas, like SoCal.. NOT much in humidity. Its a dry heat which still knocks you down if you're not used to it. I wouldnt buy/rent a home without a pool though.. lol

If something ever happens to my Aunt, I'll have a 114 acres in Nebraska.. almost as cold

OK, I guess I didn't do my homework very well. But l think I can live without the color matched bumpers. It was still a a good buy.
Thanks for the info.

Oh, it only feels that cold because of the windchill factor. The actual temp rarely gets past -22 or so, but a stout north wind definitely amplifies the effect.

And, we get plenty of sunshine. In fact, the coldest days rarely have any clouds. Right now, we're in a 'Winter Weather Advisory', which means we've got blowing and drifting snow with a good wind from the north, so it's damned cold! About -5 for the low tonite!

Thanks! Glad to be here!
