Swamp Ranger
Hey guys, been lurking for a while doing some research. In 05 I got a new CC Colorado 2WD Z71. Liked the truck, but poor fuel mileage(22 hwy) and rough ride made me get rid of it after a couple years.
When gas hit $4.00, I picked up a new 08 Frontier KC V6 SE for $15,000. Good truck, nice ride, but 15 MPG avg. is crazy, just get a full size. I talked to a couple guys online from this and other websites who talked me into going look at a Ranger.........Thanks ...... They had to go find the one I wanted about 130 mi away. 10 Reg cab XLT, I4/M5 in silver. On my first tank I went 210 mi on 6.8 gals., almost 31 MPG mostly open roads doing 60 to 70. I do like what I see so far, ride is not quite as smooth as the Frontier, but very acceptable for me. All I tow is my 15 ft flatboat, and a utility trailer sometimes. Seems like a good combination of bells and whistles and MPG. Like the 4 wheel disc set up, as well as the stability control, side airbag, and Sirius radio additions.....
