Default 1997 XLT 4.0L V6 auto high miles

This is my first post here. I was going to ask if anyone would know why my auto tranny slips in reverse first thing in the AM. I think it is the 5R55E, I have changed the filter over a year ago, it just now started doing it and only if it is cold.

Welcome id try a filter again and new fluid if that doesn't help your reverse band is weak or pump is weak
