Default New member with pic of my project

Morning Ladies and Gents, new member here. Got myself a project (1994 Ranger Splash 4.0 5spd) so I can run errands in and stop beating up on my Audi. Picked it up from my dad so he could pick up a Ford F-150 NASCAR. He had a new tranny and clutch put in so that at least puts some value back in it for me (was not a freebee). The engine and tranny are money, but the body was rode hard and put away wet. Since I currently have the bed off I am spraying the suspension bolts with penetrating catalyst in preparation for the suspension changes. I am also hand painting the frame with POR-15 to slow down the inevitable rust. In a way I wish I knew about the whole beam front suspension hurdle, but every car is going to have something that the next gen does better so whatever. So far I have performed what I believe was needed to get it to a baseline of health. If you have any suggestion that I should do as well, please chime in. All basic work including suspension will be done by myself, short of rebuilding an engine I THINK I am pretty competent. Here is a list what I have done thus far.

-Oil and filter Change
-Spark plugs and wires
-New Coil pack
-Radiator Flush
-New Thermostat
-New Fuel tank filler neck/hose
-New Fuel Pump Sending unit
-New Fuel Filter
-New Air Filter

Currently I am trying to work out how I am going to lower the car. I ordered a DJM beam for the front and plan to do a flip kit on the rear. I am trying to sort out what springs and shocks I will need since the front is essentially stock in relation to how the springs and shock will perform, but the rear will have different travel. So I have to pick and chose the spring/shock combos for front and rear. I am still learning, so I will get things wrong and hope to minimize the learning curve with the good folks of this forum. It shall be FUN!!!!
