Default slipping trans at 119000

Just bought my 1998 ranger xtra cab 3.0 with 110000 miles on it a year ago and since then tires, ball joints, now heater core ( that was a fun job) But now the trans slips only when cold at about the first 5 - 10 minutes or 5 or so miles , the rest of the drive is no trans issues, there is a trans cooler , my question is ,Is there a temp or other sensor I should be looking for ?
