Talking Howdy from Eastern Washington n00b.

Just found the place while Googling for a way to mount a step on either
side of the cab on my new, for me, Ranger.

The wife got a 2000 Explorer 2 days after I bought my 254 CI beast, and
her rig has a bit of a running board. Makes it easier to heave myself aboard.

I looked at some single steps at the local Shuck's, but upon looking under,
don't see a good, solid spot to torque in 4 bolts without drilling through
the floorboard.

Any of you folks mounted single steps for the cab on yours, and if so, how?

Welcome from your neighbor across the border in CDA, Idaho. You might check out Spalding auto parts/recycling. They have running boards for a 2000 Ranger for $47 each side. Might need a little clean up but you'll save $$$. Enjoy FRF.

Cheers for the warm welcome!

This place is unusual in it's efficiency.

As suggested, I took a look `round in the exterior area, and see a guy
with some slick custom fiberglass running boards, who just posted his
parts availability yesterday.

He said he'd be making a run to his duty station, one I'd been to years ago,
and could come by, from Minnesota!

Here's where it gets weird.

I have a painter out back doing my garage up nice, and I figured it was
him with a question. Here's this guy saying, "don't get creeped out but,"
It's Chad with the running boards!

Not sure how he said he got my address, but he looked in the driveway
and saw the SYZ, and rapped on the door.

I thought he'd be coming out in a week or two, so seeing him this morning
was almost surreal, but they are some darned nice running boards, for
a heckuva a price, and even delivered to my door.

The efficiency was unbelievable, and "thechad66" is a cool d00d, for a
squid. Sorry, old habits die hard for this Zoomie.

Seriously nice rig he was driving, took the time to show me some of his
neat customizations, just a surprisingly good morning.

My thanks again, Chad...
