HI
Just saying hi. New to the forum as an actual member, but have stopped by a few times for some help. Great to be here. My parents bought a ranger when I was young and I liked it. Always been a ford guy when it comes to American automobiles. I'm 33 and live in Wisconsin, and the Ranger I bought in 2010 has been the best and longest owned vehicle out of 4 since I was 16.
In Jan. of 2010 I bought my first and only Ford, a 1998 2wd extended cab ranger with 200,000 miles on it for $1,700. It's been the cheapest and easiest to work on! I still have her, and she's been great. The pilot bearing went after 10k and I added a new clutch kit, bearings, slave and master, new radiator, helper springs, but nothing major. When I got it, it was an old man truck, and all but 2 dash bulbs still worked. Replaced those no problem; Added new 5x7's, an aftermarket deck, and a preamped 10" sub, and it sounds great. I think I have small leaks in the valve cover and main gaskets, but so small, even after all these years, she'll not drip one drop of oil on the pavement; and I just cracked 271,000 on her! ---------- I'll be replacing all my intior and dash bulbs with LED tomorrow.
