I checked and nothing feels loose but that doesn't mean there isn't.

No vibrations in the brake pedal, nor any change from when I'm acceleration.

I can feel the vibrations in the steering wheel at 55+mph.

The sound seems similar to driving around on big knobby tires (don't have big tires on it).....but pulsating at lower speeds.

Sucks to do with a new used vehicle, but I'm going to take it to be aligned and have the tires road force balanced.....just to rule that out.

That's what I was gonna say. Sounds like poorly balanced tires, report back if anything changes after that

Welcome Josh, Glad you found us. Have fun and enjoy FRF. I like that blue. looks like you have knobby tires, check for uneven wear, that is most likely your noise.

the tires on your truck look like light truck tires. original tires were goodyear wrangler sra in p metric size. a substantially quieter running tire. but worse snow traction. p metric will give you a softer ride too. check your rotors for abnormal wear. the aluminum rims can be bent if you hit a hard bump. my truck is a sport truck too.

I would check the wear of the tires. Cupping will make for a pretty noise ride.

Well....got a shocker!

Place I took it says I need new tires.
I did not think they looked that bad, but what do I know.
I don't remember the wording specifically, but something about bad edge wear, and feathering?
They won't do any more work on it (balance/alignment) unless I replace the tires.
All of the suspension components are good.
Truck tires are expensive! especially on a new used truck!

I don't think I have much choice really........
Probably going to go with more of a road tire, since I rarely would ever need to go offroad.

So how do I go about figuring out this noise and vibration I'm having?

It's a low pitch sound.
At slow speeds it's an oscillation. Wub-wub-wub-wub-wub
When I stop, the sound stops.
As I accelerate it becomes a solid low pitch hum. Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuubbbbbbbbbbbbbb.
Then a bit of vibration at higher speeds.
I assumed wheel balancing, but I have no clue. I read that Rangers benefit from a road force balancing?

I ended up moving the bottom rear latch out slightly on the passenger side rear door. Cured my door ajar troubles for good!

I would guess it would be inner tire wear and either cupping or feathering. These trucks can and will eat tires if neglected.

I would check over the wheel bearings in the front along with the CV shafts.

Just got the cherry on top.......of this bad news.

Said they tried to align it anyway, and it was 1 degree off at max adjustment.

Control arm might be bent. Front Left.

Best to fix it now, than chew through tires in the future.

I probably don't have any recourse through the dealer I bought it through.
Ugh, I almost feel sick now.....

You can pick up an upper control arm for pretty cheap not that big of deal.

I don't have a jack or jack stands.
I wasn't expecting issues this soon.
I'll have to have the shop do it this time.
The biggest $$$ is the tires. That was a complete blindside.
