Hello frf,
My name is Rick R. And I am acquiring a 99 ford ranger in about a week from my dad. It is slick black and a sport model with the 5 speed stick and the 2.5 4 cylinder motor. My dad had the mechanics go through it back home with a fine toothed comb and grease and replace everything that it needed so mechanically it is virtually like a new truck. The truck only has about 86,000 miles on it with the same engine and transmission but a new clutch and throwout bearing etc.
The truck has tinted windows and a spray in bedliner along with a pretty nice toolbox in the bed that has not been used much. The truck has the bigger tires on it than what came with it from the factory. It has a 1200 cranking amp dry cell battery too lol. And the mechanics put in a high power cooling fan so evidently the engine never gets hot in it which is interesting. I plan on pulling the factory radio out and eventually having an after market stereo with Bluetooth etc put in it.
It is a big blessing to finally have a ranger again after years of no car and they are pretty solid little trucks. I had an 87 ranger about 5 years ago with the vulcan motor in it and it was a beast lol. This is amazing that there is a community of people dedicated to such an awesome vehicle!!!!!.
A little about myself. I am in Dallas Texas and work for Baylor hospital supervising a distribution warehouse for medical supplies. Im currently homeless but in a housing program attempting to transition out of the shelter so getting this truck is a huge blessing and will help tremendously with all of that. I intend to take hood care of it and make sure all of the maintenance is kept up on it.
Ill post pictures of it as soon as it gets up here from Houston and I get it to a car wash and get it cleaned up and detailed etc. Thanks so much guys
!!!!
