Default New to this forum from New Mexico with a new ranger

Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jeremiah. 23 years old and a diesel mechanic. I live in southeast New Mexico.

I'm no stranger to Ranger based vehicles. I've had a few. But oddly enough I've never actually had a Ranger until now.

My best one was my 91 Explorer.

I got this back in 2010 for 1300 and basically ran it until it was wore out I put 60,000 miles on it in just over a year. Lots of that was off road. It needed a complete ground up overhaul. The Ford dealer gave me like $3500 after all said and done with trade in cash and everything and I've been in new cars ever since.

Currently I'm driving a 2014 Focus ST and also have a 2012 Jeep that is the wife's.

But life has happened. We're expecting our second daughter in May and there has been an extreme economic downturn where I live. So I figured I'm just going to cut down on my bills and am selling my car and it's actually my brother who is buying it and throwing in a partial trade of the truck I've been after for about the last 4 years.

It's an 03 Ranger XLT with 125,000 miles on it. My Grandfather bought it brand new in 02 and when he passed in 2011 he left it to my dad, and my brother bought it and has been driving it for the last 2 years.

It's an extended cab, 2 wheel drive automatic. In really nice shape. So I'm going to drive it probably forever. I'll most likely have to throw a transmission in it pretty soon.

But that doesn't bother me I've got every tool imaginable and all the lifts and equipment to bust it out in a couple hours.

Anyway here is the only picture I have of the truck. My brother is going to bring it to me the first weekend in March and I'll have better pictures.

Anyways I am usually a very active member on any forum I'm involved with and hope to be here for awhile as I always seem to come back to these little trucks and I'm looking forward to my stay.

Thanks everyone. Just an update. I'm just going to go get the truck today. Get the title transferred over and all of that good stuff. I need to get it home and get to work on it. Apparently you can only drive it 100 miles then the trans starts slipping so you have to stop and let it cool off. It'll be a long drive home haha. But I'll get her back into top shape in no time.
