Default New Ford guy w/ 2003

Hi all, just joined up a few moments ago...

I have a blue '03 Ranger that I've owned just over four years. Have been exclusively a Ford man for about 25 years after going through some GM company cars which had lots of troubles to say the least.

The last GM company car I had was a Chevy which had to be towed seven times during the 15 months or so I had it. On top of that were a lot of minor issues which needed inconvenient attention.

Several times one of these "minor issues" was the front passenger foot well filling up with water from the AC drain becoming plugged. I wore suits to work so I couldn't clear the blockages so I carried a hand pump to pump it out until I could get to a shop.

Another time the mounting brackets for the AC compressor fatigued off and the AC compressor fell off the engine.

A huge and greatly inconvenient event was the time that an apparent freeze plug blew out and allowed all the cooling water to escape. The water temp sender was located away from the engine in a fitting on the upper radiator hose such that when the water went away it gave a faulty reading. The way I learned of the problem was the engine began knocking from the overheating...

Fords exclusively and forever!

Welcome to Frf! I'm glad you like Fords, that means you won't do what the PO of my truck did!

I have a '03 Blue Ranger too, and the PO hated that he bought a (new) Ford, and removed all Ford badges but the one on the steering wheel (which is greatly disfigured)

Anyways, welcome again, and show us some pictures, tell us info and stories, and have fun!
