Default New guy intro

A quick overview of me -

Name - Tony
Ranger - 2006, V6 auto, 168K on the clock, dark grey, crew cab, pretty much stock, purchased new - the only change to the truck was a spray-in bedliner. I've had no major problems with the truck so far - just the usual items - brakes, tires, battery, etc.

This is my 2nd Ranger - I bought one in about 1990, also new, and ran it up to about 125K before I sold it. I had to have the transmission rebuilt in that first one, but that was my fault. I towed a camper trailer around in overdrive for a couple of weeks up and down the Appalachian mountains. Nobody told me to put it in drive, so I learned an expensive lesson.

This one is my daily driver - I average 16-18,000 miles a year on it. The body is still in pretty good shape, considering. I have a little rust showing on the bottom of the tailgate, and the usual collection of parking lot rash. It's been a very reliable vehicle, and I hope to keep it to at least 200,000 miles.

I found this site when I was looking for a fix to the problem of the driver's door latch indicating that the door wasn't closed securely. I gave the latch a good spray with some WD-40, and it seems to have helped it. I'll look around more on the site as time allows.

As for me - I'm crowding 60 (not too hard yet, tho), live in Michigan, like to ski, ride my bike, kayak, and get outdoors. The Ranger helps with that.
