First time here, first post. Be gentle!

They call me Puff here in Michigan, and not for the reasons you might imagine.

I'm trying to replace the 6' bed of my 2002 Off Road 4x4 with a new (to me, but used) one.

My truck is red, so I'm hoping to get lucky and find a red one with the same paint code.

I don't need lights or bed liner, or tailgate, just the box.

In which years are the beds interchangeable? Will the lights fit? The gas fill?

I have a few options, one of which is time sensitive, it's off of a red '98 Ranger, so any quick replies would be really cool. Thanks

I also have a 99 Red 4x4 Extended cab that is in great shape and may get modded when $$$ is avail.

Yes that 98 bed will work on your truck. You can pretty much use a bed from any 93-2005 Ranger. Somewhere after 2006 (maybe in 2008?) they started messing with the amount of bolts holding the bed down, so those beds may or may not work.

93-2011 will fit swap and interchange.

they all fit just you'll have some extra holes you won't use, and vise versa if you get an older bed on a newer truck.
