Alright another Ranger Noob
Well I joined the Ranger crowd today. Picked a 88 Ext cab Ranger 4x4 2.9L auto today. Got it from a guy at work for 500 bucks. Body is straight, paint okay, interior good for its age and the 2.9L is shot. Now I know the 2.9 isn't the best engine and I have heard about doing 4.0 swaps but I am having trouble locating solid leads about doing it. Well look forward to seeing everyone around.
Oh yeah, I forgot some of the basic info about me. I'm 29 yrs old, work as a outside salesman for Lowe Electric in Tifton, GA. My current hobbies include my :
1989 Mustang GT - 331 stroker, Holley Systemax Upper and Lower, BBK Long Tubes, Edelbrock Performer Heads, 1.6 Roller Rockers, a mild cam (cant remember which ones at the moment), standard CAI, Summit Mass Air w/ 24lb inj's, complete Aeromotive fuel system, BBK/Edelbrock throttle body, MSD dizzy and wiring, 6AL, 3.55 gears and TREMEC TKO-600 w/ Triax shifter. Many other minor mods that I cant think of.
1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited - 177,000 plus miles and running strong. Has a 4.5" RC lift kit with 31x10.50 BFG's. Factory tracloc still with a Dana 35 rear axles and the Dana 30 front still. Picked up a Cherokee 44 a few months back but gotta rebuild before I put it in. Picked this for 300 bucks. Guy didnt know what was wrong with it..just needed a fuel pump to get it running. Done lots of work to it since I got it to just keep it up and fix the half ass work others have done.
1976 Jeep Cherokee Chief - Just got it. Has a AMC 360 with a spare AMC 401. Haven't turned a wrench on it yet. Plans are to just be a driver. Gonna eliminate the Presolite Ign. system and use a Motorcraft/MSD combo.
2004 - Ford SVT Focus 3dr. Stock as stock SVT's come. 55,000 miles
2004 - Dodge 3500 4x4 Diesel. Singe track style, tow rig and daily driver.
I think that is all my 1:1 toys. One of my other hobbies involves 1/10 scale RC scale trucks and crawler. I am a admin over at Scale4x4rc.org.
I think thats about it.
