I am new to the page on here. Never posted before but I have checked out the forums before. I used to own a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 and I totaled it back in November. Since then I have been driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but wanted a ranger again so bad. I saved up my money from Graduation and bought another Ranger. This time I bought a 1983 Ranger 4x4 XL 4 speed with the 2.8 v6. I absolutely love it already. It needs a few things but that's ok considering I didn't want a vehicle I would have to worry about keeping clean and not being able to go out on the trails with it. I am going to need tires soon but they can wait for a while. I am about positive that I need shocks all the way around the thing considering it rides like a wagon when I hit a bump in it. But first thing I am wanting to do is put 3 inch blocks in the rear. After that I am wanting to lift the front up a little bit. I am thinking skyjacker 132x coils but I am not sure if I should do that or get some coil spacers. Help would be appreciated. After that I am wanting to be albe to put 31x10.5x15s on it. Any opinions out there about cheap lifts for this year model. This forum doesn't have the most info on 1st gen rangers but hopefully that will change.
