Hi, I like Rangers. Straight outa high school, I worked my butt off as a server working overnights. I basically lived at work and only ate their food. It was a Waffle House so you can understand my desperation and drive then!
Within 6 months I had saved up just enough to pay cash for this pretty little Black Ranger I met off craigslist. Boy she was somethin' special. It looked like the guy had modified all of her exterior lights(what I came to find was cheap stuck on tint. Fun to remove!), lift, wheels, tires, and even rear bumper. She was my Black Beauty!
I was naive and honestly still regret buying that truck. She had 35k miles on her but had been in an accident so the title was a restored salvage after I got it inspected and such.
As the years (2) go by, I made so many mental notes of what I hated about her, what I had to fix myself and pay to be fixed, all the quirks and annoyances. I knew exactly what I wanted come next time around.
Well, 3 weeks ago, it was time apparently! I had a roll over accident on one of the main freeways here in AZ and that bitch saved my LIFE! That, and my seatbelt.
I was devastated for her sake, to say the least. Who the fuck cares that I'm walking around, right? My truck! My god damn truck! It was her time. And my reality check.
Fast forward to the present. I got a NEW "Black" Beauty but this time, she's a god damn White Unicorn! I made sure to pick an extended cab because of my job as an unarmed security guard, I spend my shifts in my truck. I picked the name for my previous truck because of the sweet little acronym I made out of my license plate. I'm still waiting on the plates for my new truck.
So far, I've switched out her headlights. The new set doesn't have the 06+ side markers like she had before, but now the set is blacked out minus the reflective chrome. Pretty nifty. Black Beauty had a lift on her and bigger than stock tires with black wheels. I'd love to attempt a torsion bar crank on my White Unicorn, lol, but I'm pretty scared.
I removed the old factory tint myself and got a nice new darker tint with 20% in the back. I think the black on black looks fucking amazing, but white with black is just as kick ass! Bigger tires and black wheels, slight body lift, and a radio swap is what I'm aiming for. Oh yeah, Black Beauty had an aftermarket radio I put in her and it was totally ripped out and fell on me during the roll over. Just a matter of putting it into the White Unicorn.
