Default Noise solutions...

Okay, so oops on the accidental post in the wrong location...
Has anyone had a terrible metallic popping from the leaf springs? Is there a way to make this stop? I can't seem to find what exactly is causing this but it only happens when the drivers rear is put under a load, be it acceleration, or just plain bumps and driving, it's embarrassing and annoying is there a solution? Also I have bushing noise, but last time I tried to remove my Torsion bars to get my lower control arms out the torsion bars would not slide out of the lower control arms...solutions would be wonderful!

Welcome to FRF. As far as you popping noise from the rear leaf springs check the rear spring shackles & the hangers they are known for rusting out. I replaced the ones on my 2000 & the drivers side one was so bad it was almost in 2 pieces making noises when I would go over bumps.

Thanks! I have replaced the shackles about a year and a half ago, but this noise came after i had been in some mud just playing around, but that was also well over 8 months ago. I did not change the front mounts but they look fine, the strange thing is it sounds like it comes from the actual springs down close to where they are u-bolted on.

More so like something you would expect to hear from a heatshield cooling down/heating up, except it's very loud and clearly audible, but I removed my heat shields as well as its coming from the drivers rear. I have changed the wheel bearings in the rear, but once again it sounds like a tick just a bit stronger and louder more aggressive as you make a turn to the right or go over a bump.
