Default new guy here

hello everyone new guy here from Iowa just picked up my 03 ranger edge from Georgia last week thinking about putting 31x10.5's on this thing other than that itll remain practically stock other than the stereo system too i was going to lower it till i moved to an area that has more dirt roads than it dose paved roads but my first ranger was an 84 4x4 longbed

heres a few pics

i think this came with a 2" lift from the factory... i wonder if i can fit 32's on this thing without any mods

here is one of my speaker box its a 4 chamber box but i only have 2 MTX road thunder 12's in it right now powered by a MTX 250 watt 2 channel amp the box was given to me and fits the rear like a glove im gonna be putting a new head unit in it as soon as i can

and heres a pic of my first ranger

i got this from my dad it was my second vehicle he made the front and rear bumper (you cant see the rear bumper but it matches the front) he also did the radtops convertible hardtop kit in the early 90's and a minor lift on 29's this truck was a climbing machine its sitting in storage with a blown motor ill get it running again one day lol

Welcome to FRF! Bad ass trucks man! The Gen I I think needs a V8 swap!

It is not necessarily a lift as much as its just the 4x4 suspension without the 4x4 drivetrain. Yes you can get 32s in there stock, maybe a slight crank on the t-bars for clearance. Not sure if you want to leave it all stock though, that blue with black wheels, blacked out heads and corners and maybe some nightshaded tails would look sweeeeeeeeeeet!

yea im keeping the 03 stock for now, its my only reliable transportation at the moment ill bring the 84 back from the dead when i can afford a project truck again,

i was wondering about the suspension. because it sits a little higher than a stock ranger im gonna try to find a cheap set of used 32's to mount to see how bad they rub first i dont really want to crank the T bars i dont want to have to go in for re alignment i dont do alot of off roading any more it just gets real soggy when it rains around here

XL/XLT Rangers have the coil sprung suspension that sits lower than the t-bar set-up of the EDGE/Sport and 4x4 models. Slight crank will not need an alignment. I have mine cranked pretty high, no alignment, no problems.

That 84 will definitely be a fun project. Hopefully it will start up soon!

how do i tell if my T bars have been cranked? i have 2" blocks in the rear and it sits pretty level, i think i may try to find some used 32's and see how they fit i have 5" of clearance from the top of my tire to my fender and im running the equivalent of 30's on it right now
