Hey Y'all,
Well, My name is Jeff. I'm 18 years old. I work for the YMCA as their assistant youth director and resident go to guy for grunt work. I'm an avid pool player, knife maker and collector, toy around with BMX riding, raise and show goats, and growing up with the family that I have I spent a lot of time around, under, and inside of cars.
I bought my Ranger just under a month ago. It's an '88 regular cab, 2WD, 5spd. I'm not sure of the original engine, but somewhere along the line someone dropped a 2.8 liter (Yes, 2.8 not 2.9) carburated V6 into it. Relatively clean little truck, very little rust anywhere. Had a custom paintjob owner before last, black with "ghost flames" coming from front fenders to just past the doors on both sides, with matching flames on hood. It doesn't look as good as it once did, but I don't plan on paiting it any time soon. Has the original bench seat in it, along with the rest of the original interior.
I got the truck dirt cheap, the previous owner hadn't done much if anything to maintain the truck in the three years he owned it, and it needed/needs some work.
List of currently installed new parts:
Both Tie Rod Ends (replaced the factory tie rod ends, the ORIGINAL factory ends)
Front shocks
Rear Brake shoes (I've developed a dislike for working on drum brakes now)
new front tires (Back ones are still good)
Alpine headunit (radio my brother had lying around)
New aircleaner
And the truck drives/runs great! It needs a new exaust at the moment, and windsheid. Plan to do both within a week. Also want to put new lights behind the gauges, at least one bulb is burned out back there.
I didn't have much experiance with a manual transmission before buying this truck.
But I am catching on quckly.
Hopefully that wasn't too boring for anyone, I'm sure I'll learn a lot on this forum and I'm looking forward to that.

P.S. Sorry no pics at the moment, digital camera is with my brother for a few weeks.
