Hello all,
First off, I'd like to thank everybody on here as some of your previous problems/threads have helped immensely in getting my new Ranger running good. I have a 1987 XLT Extended Cab 4X4 and absolutely love it now that it's running right.
Had a real erratic idle and horrible mileage at first. I'm into it for right around $2,400 (price + repairs) and she purrs like a kitten and averages 18 ish MPG.
I'm a 35 year old Sergeant First Class in the US Army and am getting ready to move from Washington to Montgomery Alabama. I have a wife and 2 kids. The kiddos are the reason I bought the Ranger because I hate not taking em fishing and needed an extended cab.
I've had the truck for a couple months now. After a full tune up, O2 Sensor, Thermostat, Temp Sensor, Fuel Pressure Solonoid, Fuel Sending Unit, and Manifold Gaskets.....she's running tip top
:-)

Thanks...I love it!! Well...now that it's running good anyways lol. The canopy is only temporary...taking it off right after the big move.

Wow...that does sound like a project haha. I ain't trying to do all that. I got her running real nice now so I figure I'll keep her pretty stock until the engine goes...then I might think of putting a newer Ranger motor (like a 4.0) in
