Newest of the New Guys
Hey Everyone!
My name is Ben and I'm a proud Ford Ranger owner! I'm a 21 year-old college student from North Carolina and I've had my Ranger since I turned 16.
My Grandfather bought it brand new in '99 and it was his gift to me for my 16th birthday. It is a 3.0L, 2wd, automatic ranger. It's a little underpowered, but I still love the truck!
When I turned 18 I bought a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and the Ranger sat more or less untouched in our basement ever since.
Recently the transmission in the Jeep (that had problems when I bought it) crapped out...so I decided to park it and resort back to my old faithful truck while I save up some funds, haha.
I'm looking to lift the Ranger and use the 31x10.50 BFG All-Terrains that came stock on my Jeep for the 'new' tires, I just need a good lift and some new wheels. (Any recommendations?!?!)
I should have some pictures up soon and I look forward to getting to know all of you along with your trucks!
Sincerely,
Ben Combs

Re: Newest of the New Guys
Welcome! Great to have you here.
A PA 3" Bodylift will get you just enough clearance. If you are looking for more, go with blocks in the rear, and lift spindles. All ridiculously cheap and easy

Re: Newest of the New Guys
OH and you can use your jeep rims on the Ranger, if Im not mistaken.
Preformance wise, Underdrive pulleys, CAI mod (FREE!!), and re-gearing to 4.10 will help you out!

Re: Newest of the New Guys
Hey Everyone! Sorry it took me forever to get some pictures, but I got a few today of my truck. Here are a couple, the rest are in an album. You've been warned, it's incredibly stock, haha.
I've started working on it, got an OHC for 20 dollars and started putting it in today, hope to get some clear corners and some lights on it soon.
Anyways, let me know what ya think!
