Default Finally back in a Ranger

After a little over two years since my old truck was totaled I'm proud to say that I'm back in a Ranger!

Wasn't really looking for one at the time but a friend of my dads was getting rid of his truck and I couldn't pass up such a good deal on the truck I had always wanted.

It's a 2001 4x4 Xlt with a 4.0 and a manual trans. 4:10 limited slip 8.8 in the rear and the best part, White with Grey interior! I've had the truck for about a month now and it has come a pretty long way from when I pulled in out of the field and cleaned the rats nest out of the air box.

The day I picked it up. All I had done at this point was take the bug deflector off, detail it inside and out and put air in the tires

First real "mod" was 06+ corner lights.

Then bedlined the bed.

And Plasti dipped the Rocker panels and stock wheels to clean up the outside a little.

Followed by 06+ Mirrors and Tail lights

Much Better!

Future Plans are new honey comb grille, an 06+ Tail Gate, a Body lift with 35s, Explorer Leather seats and center console, Explorer 8.8 and a regear to 4:56, and Explorer rear leafs. Probably won't double lift unless I go solid axle sometime in the future.

It's Duplicolor Bed Armor. It's holding up pretty well so far. Most people that have issues with it don't prep the surface properly. I have a bedmat too so it helps.

So I've gotten a few things done on the truck in the last 4 months since I posted. Got new wheels and had 31s for a while.
Then last week I cut the sidewall on one of them so I was in a rush to get tires and went ahead and ordered 33s since I already had my body lift. Still haven't installed the body lift but so far 33s and just a torsion crank haven't been too terrible. Tires are 33/12.5r15 Kenda Klever MTs and wheels are 15x8 Pro Comp 152s.

Current plans are to get #1 torsion bars to replace my worn out B bars and get explorer leaf springs for the rear and remove the stock block. Then install the body lift. I really like seeing the difference between July when I got it and now.

Looks great! I'm interested in seeing those explorer seats in it. I hope that's still part of your plan!
