I had a good time last Thursday working on the Ranger. I was my off day and I received the (front) leaf spring hanger that I needed in the mail. It didn't arrive with any mounting hardware. I'm going to have to post more about this in a thread about shackle repair, but I got the last hanger in place and put the bed back on. Just for anyone who thinks they can't do this. I weigh 130 pounds and I am 5' 8". I got the bed back on by myself. I'm not saying it was easy, but you can do it. It looks super and rides great up the street and back. The shackles and hangers must have been severely worn before completely breaking, because it made such a huge difference in the rear height than what I remember. The old ones were completely rusted out in some areas.
Now I am working on finishing up the paint on the bed while I save to pay a $100 parking ticket that must be paid before I can get my registration renewed. I had forgot about parking in front of my house the night the city did a once in a decade street cleaning campaign to collect money from innocent citizens who can't remember to read posted signs at 2:am when returning home from work.
All the money I make at work is tied up in my family budget, so I am selling stuff on ebay to fund my repair. It's cool when I can order the part from there with the money I've made there. I might just order the header panel online instead of going to the junkyard, I think I saw it for around $40 new. I'll probably buy new tail lights online too, one of them is completely busted out.

Default Some new photos of my progress with the Ranger

These are some photos taken over the last few days. All I need to do is replace the front end parts and the tail lights, and then she will be back in commission.

Default a few more photos

These are the last few photos for now. My new project after I complete the body work will be a light tune up, oil change, front brake pads and rotor replacement.
