Glad to have you on the forum. So did you used to have a 86 ranger with a turbo?

Pull the 2.9L after three years and a fire on the top of the engine I think the Distributer area. Put a 2.3L turbo from an 87 turbo coupe, used the stock tranny, changed the bell housing from a 86-88 ranger 2.3 tranny. Engine harness and computer from the 87 tbird had to repin some wires put the color codes for ford in the same years are very close in colors for most fords. And if u buy the hayes book for the tbird , it has an foot note saying to request the diagrams for the turbo coupe\XR7 versions. They sent a load of wireing diagrams and codes, lots of good info. Had Put in an 3.73L rear diff, it ripped! This is the truck http://www.cardomain.com/ride/563689
