Default Thank Y'all!!

Hey,

I don't want to write a novel, but I figure some of this needs said.

I love my little Ranger (am I allowed to call it little?)

A bit back I had to make a jackrabbit (I almost never do this. It was an emergency situation) start and afterward it wouldn't idle below 2k. I have a mechanic (sort of) that I use because the dealership is brutal with pricing (I don't wrench on automobiles).

I searched many sites and couldn't find anything that matched my truck's symptoms. Even here there was nothing that matched.

So I want to share. 2,000 - 2,500 RPMs always. No matter what. Any gear, between gears, stopping, starting, cold or hot. Always.

But I saw enough here to take action. It was the IAC. Shocker, I know. But it was a bit of twig jammed in there.

Thanks to y'all I fixed it myself. But I need to throw this out there to all those like me: use a six point socket to remove the bolts holding it on as my 8 point/boxed end wrenches nearly stripped the bolt heads. They were tormed down TIGHT!

Anyway, thanks for all the help! My baby now purrs like the kitten she always was.
