hello there ranger lovers !
my name is amanda.
 I have a 1998 step side, standard cab ranger. that i love.. but i wreaked... and now im restoring it... I'm going to be cutting off the roof and buying a new one and weld it back on. Right now im in the proccess of striping it out. All I have left to take out is the passenger air bag and the top of the seat belts. But the passenger air bag has been trouble.. I just cant find a way to get it out. Im having a dumb blonde moment. Anyways.. My ex has a honda forum and when i asked him who to ask he said get a ranger forum and see if any one could help me on here. So...thats what im doing.  can i girl get some help around here? lol so about me.. I sing,dance,ski, and i love horses.. what about you?

Welcome to FRF Amanda. Sorry to hear about your steppie but impressed that you are restoring it. I don't have an answer for you but someone should be able to help. Post some pics.
I have a '03 Edge Step Side and love it too.

1998 Ford Ranger 147,000 on chassis, 50,000 on engine. 3.0 v6 5 speed 4x4...4x4 don't work lol What I hope to do- Paint wheels, new head unit, exhaust, fix four wheel drive.

hit some ice going 50mph.. hit and bank and flipped it.. yea, im pretty much a badass. lol but it sucks cause i miss my danger ranger. im pretty glad i know how to weld cause now i have a lil bit of hope to restore it.
haha nope no booze. lol just a silly blonde girl driving. lol

youd be alot better off replacing the entire cab than trying to cut the roof off and welding a new one on. theres alot of variables that go into that kind of thing, like if your off the slightest degree the doors will never close or open
