I'm John from Georgia. I have a 2002 Ranger. I work as a physician assistant and travel around to a lot of dialysis clinics to see patients. I lay down quite a few miles and just replaced the motor. I had 290,000 miles. With a rebuilt motor it's like a new ride. Found this site through Twitter, glad I did.

Welcome! Oh so close to the 300,000 mile marker. Have you had any other major problems when raking up those miles?

Yeah I came close to the 300K mark. The only major issue was needing new heads around 180K. The mechanic said that was not uncommon with Rangers around 200K, I have an even better mechanic now but doing 226+ miles each day, replacing the motor was the best choice. I have it serviced regularly. I live in Leesburg but work out of Macon...my driving is spread out Forsyth, Milledgeville, Hawkinsville, Montezuma and a lot of stops in between. Yes, I have satellite radio.
