Well i am an avid ranger lover I have a 97 ford ranger with the v6 4.0 with 5 speed auto trany. I got it brand new when i was in high school. and like all high school kids i doged it really bad and did things that never should have been done to the truck. the last three years i have not had the keys to it and it has had some problems so i have not ran it in three years. well i finally got a key made for it and fixed the brakes and put a new battery in it. with three year old gas and three year old oil it started up first time with out any problems. I am currently fixing it up i have an idle problem and other sensor malfunctions. but all in all i am slowly working them out will post pics of the restore and rebuild later.
