Re: New to the site
Regardless of my plans everything would have to be replaced anyway, the guy I got it from drove it for 2 years without changing the oil and left it out in a field during winters. Whatever I put in front of that truck it would go through it. But the engine blew up. So I decided if I am going to buy a new engine then I may as well redo everything else while I'm at it. So like I said, regardless of my plans, everything would have to be replaced anyway. (Doesn't mean it's not my truck)

Re: New to the site
engine blown=time to redo. If you get rid of your vehicles after a blown engine then let me know when you blow your next engine.

Truck:
2000 Ford Ranger XLT, Single cab, 2.5L, 2WD, 5 speed manual, 4.10 open, 235/75/R15.
Still Stock for now.
I want to completely redo everything, and put the following in:
F150 limited slip axles,
4WD,
302 V8,
disc brakes,
5 speed manual,
4" suspension lift,
35/12.50/R17,
move body mounts and go from single cab to super cab,
move bed mounts and go from long to short stepside.
I don't currently have any pictures available to post, have to get a hold of my friend and get them.

Welcome to the site! You can get almost all the info you need here.
I'm wondering why you want to do all that to your truck, the ext. cab frame is a lot longer than the single cab long beds. If I were you I would do the 5.0 swap and put a solid axle under it. Get a tranny with a t-case and you'll have 4x4. You'd be crazy to try to put stock ford 4x4 in the truck.

Re: New to the site
I want to do all this to have my truck the way I want it, something that looks good going down the road but also doesn't have a problem in the trails and in mud. The only thing I'm unsure about is what axles I want and if I want the 302 or a diesel. Thanks for the info though.
