Default Greetings, from Vacationland

So, what's new!

I figure there's a site about this size for every vehicle I've ever owned and loved. So here I am, throwing in my two cents, seems like a nice place so far.

Small backstory... I am a Ford man at heart, my previous two trucks were '88 and '89 model F-150s, respectively. I just now parked my '89 Lariat with 160k on it, and it still doesn't wanna die. But the 302 was eating a hole in my wallet in gas so badly I couldn't afford to keep driving it 200 miles a week.

So I joined the Ranger world. I picked up a gem of a '97 model yesterday, with 69k on it for $2200. The beastly 2.3L banging under the hood, backed up by the M5OD-R1 5-speed. There's a reason why I love old people, and that's it, the vehicles they sell. The truck is a time capsule, and the door jambs will take wax nicely, which is unreal for the state of Maine. It's nearly too good to drive, but I think I'm going to anyway. : D

That's the deal then, hope to have a good time here. Pics too, if I can remember.

Sounds awesome man!! I picked up my 97 when my Grandfather passed with 30200 on the clock in August 08, just clicked over 62900 the other day. My other truck I got the same way from a dealer, old man, had surgery couldn't drive a stick anymore, so traded it in, I got that one a GMC in 03, it's a 99 with just over 32200 on it and both trucks are in great shape.

Welcome to the FRF!!! And glad you picked up a good truck! Post of the pics!!!
