Default New in Mid Tenn

Howdy, just purchased my Ranger and its definitely got its quirks but I'm looking for some guidance on fixes and upgrades. Just replaced the freeze plugs and gaskets in the top end to result in a slight "lifter tick" after bolting it all back up but I'm just gonna roll with it. Camshaft Positioning Sensor started squealing today, so, that's getting replaced Friday (payday). I'm also having a little front end trouble, the passenger's side "tire" pops when turning sharply. Especially on a grade. Not a grinding noise but a single pop that shakes the whole truck. Drives smooth but pulls right a little and just a little harder when braking. Jacked it up and replaced the bearings thinking that would solve the issue but I noticed that there's about 1.5" of slack in the 'axle'??? I can grab the entire wheel assembly and move it back and forth along with the axle into the front hub. I'm thinking a worn axle inside but I'm not sure. Anyhow, if y'all can help me diagnose and fix my two minor issues I'd like to keep in touch and post progress pics of mods and improvements I do and I'll frequently ask for your suggestions. (exhaust, tires, interior, paint, sound, etc). Lets get this baby looking and running good!!!
