Swap
Hi,
I have had a ford in my family for at least 20 years. I am very old school, I like the boxy type ranger. Currently my son and I have n 84 ranger 4x4 project. the floor boards are rusted pretty bad, so we have decided to replace the entire cab. My question is what years should fit? I think from 83 thru 88. Any help is appreciated. Also looking at a 97 with the 4.0 engine, I was told they aren't very reliable, anybody have any advice. BTW, the 4.0 has about 225K miles on it, with auto transmission. Thanks in advance. Dietdewman1 Kentucky hillbilly

any cab from 83-92 will work...4.0 is a solid motor but i would slap a 302 in there
