Default Door lock actuators....

Well today i think my truck tried to get broken into.. They were not sucessful but i think that something is messed up. I went to go unlock the door, it went fine. i got in... Then when i went to go lock it. the rod itself wouldnt go down. ( get your dam minds out of the gutter.) when i got home, i took my door panels off and stuck a flashlight in the inner panel and looked at the actuator and the locking mechanism itself. it appeared to work properly. im thinking they might have messed up the actuator.. Any ideas?

Could be a loose connection. On mine, a rod is attached to the actuator, then bolted/secured to the rod connecting to the locking that sticks out the door (Don't know what its called, the thing you push down to lock it.) If that bolted/secured section came loose, it'll just slide on the rod, rather than push it.

Or the actuator is busted, in which case you can replace it.

having installed actuators alot (at work and on my truck) its really easy to do. hell, hit your local best buy up and get one there for about $20, same thing as a factory actuator, just half the price.
