Hey guys I have a 2008 ford ranger with the black gauge face cluster and my buddy has a 2008 ranger company truck with the white backs and is willing to swap them with me. Now my question is my truck has 51,000 miles on it and his has 108,000 on it now when I plug his cluster into my truck is the mileage on the ECM and will show my miles or his??? Any answer will be greatly appreciated

The cluster is easy to swap Your problem will be that the Milage will stay with the cluster and will have to be programed by a ford dealer to work with your truck's computer. if u dont, the engine lights etc on the cluster will stay on . even the dealer can not change the milage, Unless you buy one from them that has never been used. If u do change it u have to have the dealer install it they will not program it unless they put it in. good luck.
