XLT Seat/Center Console Ideas
I have a 2000 XLT with the 60/40 split bench and its ratty and the console is broken, I'm wondering if i were to replace with seats from an explorer what would my options for a center console be if any at all? all suggestions welcome

Explorer center console or build one or level 2 console but those are like unicorns lol hard to find and if you do better have deep pockets

Would a center console bolt right in? i doubt it lol but what would i have to get one in

I don't think they bolt right in but they aren't hard to put in from my knowledge, I have never seen the bottom of one, a lot of people use them so can't be hard it put in. I'm building a custom console to house my new sub and amps

If you're handy I'd say build one. Probably start with a cardboard cutout/template, move on to wood, and from there finish it in a variety of ways. One option would be spray on adhesive and use fabric such as (faux leather) and apply it on and/or cut out some pieces of kitchen counter top sheets (at Home Depot) to match the interior and glue that on as well or screw it in. That way you design it the way you want and feel good about what you accomplished!
