im going to be investing in some Led light strips soon, red ones to be specific in color. Im going to put two under the dash and two under the seats. I drew up a rough wiring diagram, does this seem like its good for wiring? any advice on what I could do better to conserve wire?

yeah that should work thats how id do it but i went the easy route and wired all my lights to a cigarette light then got a 3 connector extension so qll i have to do is plug in one cigarette light, benefit is they are already fused then fused again lol

18ga should be plenty for a few led strips actually.
They'll probably pull less than 2a total but the 18ga should handle more than that.

You can just run each led's ground wires to a chassis ground as well as the switch, no need to run all the way from the battery.

Unless the switch is lighted as well, no ground would be needed. Switches generally just switch the power.

I'm not only gonna do these, I'm going to end up running some in my bed too... Up under the side rails. Like red bed lights, sounds pretty sweet to me. I'll wire those to another switch, in the truck bed.
