I do not know what size a Radio should be for a default 92 Ford Ranger. The Ranger I bought did not have one. On Ebay it says 1din/2din/ 1/2din/ not specified. I need to know this size before I buy a radio to install in my truck, so can some one help me out ? Thank you again Ford Ranger Forums!

single din fits with an install kit. Double din fits with some minor trimming to the radio bezel. The OEM should be somewhere inbetween single & double.

Not true with a 92. 95+ would be a 1 1/2 din or something like that. 94 and older should be single din.

My 92 did not have a radio either but I just but a random one at Best Buy and it fit perfectly.

And I forgot to add in that my deck is a Pioneer DEH-150MP, specs say it is a single din. Nothing Fancy for me as long as it works.

yeah they are Single Din. I just put one in my truck no problems. No install kit required. Only thing to do is get all the wires set up. I would recommend an adapter that fits to the stock radio connectors. Makes it plug-and-play.

See mine didn't have a harness and didn't want to search the junkyard so found a diagram online that matched and hot wired everything. I am just running to door speakers and then 2 alpine 6x9s I behind the seat. Might get an amp to adjust quality but no need for subs.
