Default How to remove cluster needles???

Now ive seen many different ways to do this and thats where i run into problems. some people say to let your truck warm up all the way and then snap a shot of where your needles are, but i have also heard other people say that you can just pop the needles off and sand down your cluster and pop them back on and your good. Im trying to change the color of my cluster to a blue so i need to sand off that ugly green color and it would really help if i knew the proper way to take off the needles so that their not all out of whack.

Thankyou for your time and help it is great appreciated!!!

Heres a video I did on how to calibrate the speedo before removing the needle. I learned how to do this from this forum tho. Someone made a very detailed thread on how to do it. Just do a search. You will find more info.

I saw one on an integra forum. He used white LEDs and colored in certain things different colors. It doesn't look too bad.

I have been chasing putting the Speedo needle on in the right spot for a month.
Basically you have to have your truck cruised at a known speed and apply the needle at roughly 7mph faster than that speed as it droops with the weight of the needle. I now have it 4mph over the speed. It is tricky fitting while driving set on cruise. Be careful and good luck.

There is a tool specifically for just this thing. Google watch hand removal tool. One type looks like a big pair of tweezers. The better kind have a screw that gently slides the needle off of the shaft.
